When shopping, one important thing to look for in a piece of clothing is versatility. I like to know that I'm going to be able to multipurpose an item and incorporate it into different outfits. This jacket by Joie (available in East Greenwich) is the perfect statement jacket because it can easily be worn from day to night creating both casual and dressy looks.
The embellished sneaker (Boutique 9, Newport location) makes for an edgy pairing with the animal print jacket without being too much. The tissue soft Sundry top balances the outfit well, and gives the outfit dimension by adding texture.
The color scheme of the jacket makes it easy to create a monochromatic look by playing up the neutrals. You could also throw in color and use the white and grey of the jacket as the anchoring point of the outfit. Endless options!
This is also a great jacket for mixing prints (shown with our Pour La Victoire shoes above), also because of it's color. Mixing prints with lots of color can get tricky because if they aren't just right the whole outfit could clash. It's much easier to mix prints when they aren't so loud and hard to match.
