F/W Trend Preview: Paris Fashion Week

As summer temperatures are continuing to rise, and our New England wardrobes consist of cutoffs, sundresses, and the occasional rain boot- we get to take a Mid Summer break from reality, and dream we are in Paris for Haute Couture Fashion week. From pastels, to prints, to menswear- these shows have us itching to ditch our flip flops and get our hands on the hottest fall fashions.

Here is some fall fashion/winter fashion inspiration to get you through this heat wave, straight from the Paris runway:

Winter Whites and Pastels:

Chanel

I really like that this trend is back again because it is a lighter take on fall and winter fashion. A lot of times we find ourselves resorting to blacks, browns, and deeper colors in the colder months. The lighter hues provide a refreshing ethereal look, that can be incredibly chic

The Military Trend:

 Balmain

This style is another I'm glad to see back for another season. The military look seems to be becoming timeless, a trend that you can invest in and wear season after season. The look is also very versatile; you can wear pants like the ones above with a tank and sandals in the summer, and layered with a jacket and booties in the fall.

The Menswear Inspired Look:

Armani Prive

There is something so cool about the borrowed-from-the-boys look that I just can't get enough of. The idea of  menswear inspired pieces with a feminine flair are so glamorous and classic.

Fur & Animal Prints:

Alexis Mabille, Alexander McQueen & Balmain

One of my favorite parts of fall/winter fashion is (faux) fur! It adds an instant luxe to your look, and takes any outfit to the next level. Leopard print is another huge trend for fall; when styled with all black, I think it is a completely fashion-forward way to make a statement.
